What It Controls

How to Apply

bulletFor Kentucky bluegrass, fine fescue, tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, and blends of these grasses, apply at the REGULAR RATE
bulletFor bermudagrass, St. Augustinegrass, bahiagrass, centipedegrass, and blends of these grasses, apply at the HEAVY RATE.
bulletFor control of cudweed, hop clover, evening primrose and henbit on warm season grasses and tall fescue, apply at the HEAVY RATE.
bulletTurf Builder With Halts Crabgrass Preventer should be applied when your lawn is dry. It is not necessary to water-in after application, although watering-in will activate the active ingredient.
bulletFor best results, apply after you have mowed the lawn to allow the product to more easily reach the soil.
bulletApply in the fall (August – October) after temperatures have cooled and fall rains have begun to prevent moss (except in California) from becoming established during winter or next spring, or to prevent germination of Poa annua and chickweed.

Apply to a dry lawn on a calm day. For best results, use a Scotts spreader. Be certain to set spreader to the indicated label setting before application. For best results, the lawn should receive 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rainfall or irrigation within 2-3 days of application.

When to Apply

bulletApply to dry foliage in early spring
bulletBefore dandelions reach the puffball stage
bulletBefore the third or fourth mowing
bulletBefore temperatures regularly reach the 80’s
bulletBefore March in southern California and mid-March in northern California
bulletIn moss prone areas, apply in the fall to prevent moss
