How to Apply
 | Apply during final preparation of seedbed for
planting seed, sod, sprigs or plugs |
 | Apply just prior to seeding when seeding into
established or dormant turf |
 | Apply at regular rate with a spreader to the
surface of the newly prepared seedbed. Product may
be lightly raked or dragged into the upper 1/4 inch
of soil with the seed |
 | When seeding into established or dormant turf,
mow the grass as low as possible, then use a
turf-slicing machine to open areas for seed to make
contact with the soil |
 | Apply at heavy rate |
 | For best results, use a Scotts spreader set to
indicated label settings |
When to Apply
Scotts® Starter® Fertilizer is specially formulated
for use when seeding, over-seeding, laying sod or
planting sprigs or plugs.
Where to Use
All turfgrasses at regular rate in cool-season
climates; at heavy rate in California, Texas,
Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi,
Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and
Colorado. Available nationally. |
