How to Apply
- Select a pot or container with drainage holes
that is one size larger than the old pot.
- Remove the plant from the old pot by tapping it
in three places against a countertop and turning it
upside down into your hand. If the roots are tightly
wound, gently slice the sides of the root ball in
two or three places.
- Place some Miracle-Gro Potting Mix or Miracle-Gro
Moisture Control Potting Mix in the bottom of the
new pot and insert the plant stem or root ball. Fill
with more potting mix and press lightly. The plant
should be at the same mix level as it was originally
growing, and there should be about an inch of space
from the top of the mix to the lip of the pot.
- Water to thoroughly soak the potting mix, then
allow to drain.
- For best results, wait 30 days, then supplement
the nutrients of this potting mix by using
Miracle-Gro Plant Food, following package
directions.
